Longtime local and conference foes renewed their rivalry on the ice Tuesday night at the Frank J Lada Civic Arena when Allen Park welcomed in Wyandotte Roosevelt.

Both teams were looking to make a late-season push before the state playoffs get underway in two weeks.

Roosevelt was hoping to break a mini two-game losing streak, which came following a stretch in which they won seven consecutive games overall. Allen Park meanwhile was searching for any sort of positive momentum, having lost seven straight games themselves coming into play on Tuesday.

The host Jags were able to hold their own for a bit early on, but the visiting Bears proved to be too much to handle over time as they cruised to a dominant 9-1 victory.
