Photo gallery of Riverview vs Grosse Ile in a key Huron League boys hoops battle

Two of the hotter high school boys basketball teams both in the Huron League and the entire local area squared off for a second time this season on Tuesday when Riverview made the short drive over to Grosse Ile.

Both clubs came into their season sequel with a combined 22 wins on the year already while each was also riding seven-game win streaks overall. Riverview came in looking for a season series sweep after eking out a slim 53-51 win over Grosse Ile back in mid-December.

Instead, it was the hometown Red Devils from the island, behind some prolific shooting and stingy defense, earning a big 72-54 win to continue their winning ways, and handing the visiting Pirates their first conference loss of the campaign.
