One of the Downriver area’s longest high school rivalries was revisited in the form of a Downriver League boys basketball matchup Friday night when Wyandotte Roosevelt traveled to Southgate Anderson.

Roosevelt came in looking for back-to-back victories overall — their first time since starting the season 3-0 — after defeating Allen Park in dramatic fashion earlier in the week. Meanwhile, it’s been tough sledding for Anderson, who was still eyeing their first victory of the campaign.

The hometown Titans put up a good battle early but the visiting Bears were able to overcome a slow start and earn a season series sweep with a 48-39 win.
