The Flat Rock and Brownstown historical societies will be taking local residents back to the nation’s founding Wednesday night.
Organizers describe the event as an “immersive experience that tells the story of the American Revolution through the lives and possessions of its citizen-soldiers.”
Guest speaker Todd Brighton will use his collection of historical artifacts to bring to life the men and women who fought for independence. The program comes as 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, so this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the history of that era.
Admission to this 7 p.m. event is free and open to the public. This event is hosted by the two historical societies at the Flat Rock Historical Society, 25486 Gibraltar Road, Flat Rock.
