As the calendar turns to a new year, the holiday season is pretty much in the rearview mirror. But some of the spirit remains for a few hours longer.
A couple of the annual seasonal light shows are in their final days, but the glow remains this weekend at …
• The Pine Knob Music Theatre’s “Magic of Lights” drive-through experience wraps up its sixth year on Saturday, Jan. 3. This year’s display incorporates more than 2 million lights sculpted into holiday images ranging from Santa Claus to festive monster trucks, Barbie, dinosaurs and more — with a Reindeer Rest Stop of walk-through displays in the middle. 33 Bob Seger Drive, Independence Township. 313-471-7000 or 313Presents.com.

• “Wild Lights” at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak, meanwhile, continues through Sunday, Jan. 4. The 600 displays include an Enchanted Rainforest, a synchronized Field of Light, a Toyland and other interactive experiences, as well as carousel rides, screenings of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” in the zoo’s 4D Theater, a Wild Life Lodge and more. Portions of the ticket price help fund conservation and sustainability projects, while Mittens For Detroit is collecting donations at the entrance. 248-541-5717 or dzoo.org/wildlights.

• Glenlore Trails in Commerce Township closed its “Aurora: Winter Wizards” walk-through show on Dec. 28, but will reopen it for one more night — starting about 5:15 p.m. — on Saturday, Jan. 3, with food trucks and drink stations. 3860 Newton Road. GlenloreTrails.com.
