The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District wants input from the public about the qualities, skills and experience desired in the next superintendent.
The district will hold a community stakeholder meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Woodhaven High School, 24787 Van Horn Road in Brownstown Township.
Additionally the public is invited to participate in an online survey at surveymonkey.com/r/7HH7ZRQ.
The survey, which will take about 10 minutes, is open through Feb. 2. Responses are anonymous. They will be sent to the Michigan Association of School Boards, which is assisting the district in the search for a replacement for Superintendent Mark Greathead, who recently announced his retirement, effective in June, after 15 years of service.
The position has a salary range of $190,000-$215,000, depending on experience and education, according to a post on the district’s website.
Here is the district’s timeline for hiring a new superintendent:
— Board meets to review community input collected: 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3.
— Application deadline: March 4
— Board’s review of applications: Meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 18

— Final candidates’ tour of schools, open house for community to meet them at 4 p.m. and second interviews at 5:30 p.m. March 24
