
Investigators from Michigan State Police and local departments seized 289 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of crystal methamphetamine after executing a search in the Downriver area.
MSP said in a release the Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team received a tip “regarding a drug dealer in the Downriver area” and executed a search warrant on Thursday, Jan. 15.
Police would not release details on where the search occurred or whether any arrests were made. An investigation is continuing.
The tip came from Crime Stoppers, a statewide program where tipsters can anonymously report crimes by calling 1-800-SPEAKUP.
The Downriver SWAT Team, composed of officers from several departments including Taylor, Wyandotte, Allen Park, Inkster, and Van Buren Township , assisted the state police. MSP received a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice in support of the project, the release added.
