
An entertainment franchise with a significant presence in southeast Michigan is being taken over by a European-based owner.
Emagine Entertainment has been acquired by Kinepolis, a Belgian cinema chain, for $105 million. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
Emagine theaters in the metropolitan Detroit area that are part of the franchise include:

• The Riviera Powered by Emagine, 30170 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills
• Emagine Palladium, 209 Hamilton Row, Birmingham
• Emagine Rochester Hills, 200 Barclay Circle, Rochester Hills
• Emagine Royal Oak 200 North Main Street, Royal Oak
