After a busy and chaotic couple of days, the Week 1 slate of high school games for the Downriver and Dearborn area teams is in the books.
Due to inclement weather ranging from high temperatures to excessive flooding and loss of power, some games throughout the state of Michigan this week saw their original start times pushed back on game day, if not rescheduled for the next day altogether.
Nonetheless, the local teams navigated those waters and are off and running in the 2023 season. In case you missed any of it, here is what happened with the Downriver and Dearborn area teams in Week 1:
