Frigid temperatures, combined with wind chill factors, will create dangerously cold conditions for the week of Jan. 19-25 in the Detroit area.

For Monday night into Tuesday, Jan. 20, the National Weather Service is predicting a wind chill factor of -5 to -15 F.

Authorities warn there could be power outages. Here are some warming centers available in the Downriver area, according to Wayne County Homeland Security and Emergency Management:

ALLEN PARK

Community Center, 15800 White St., open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday.

ECORSE

Ethel Stevenson Senior Center, 4072 W. Jefferson Ave., open 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

FLAT ROCK

Community Center, 1 McGuire St., open 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3:30-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

GROSSE ILE

Public Safety Building, 24525 Meridian St., open 24 hours.

LINCOLN PARK

Kennedy Memorial Building, 3240 Ferris St., open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

Senior Center, 3525 Dix-Toledo Highway, open daily 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

RIVER ROUGE

Police Station, 10600 W. Jefferson Ave., open 24 hours.

ROMULUS

Romulus Public Library, 11121 Wayne Road, open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

SOUTHGATE

Senior Center, 14700 Reaume Parkway, open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Veterans Library, 14680 Dix-Toledo Highway, open 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
