Allen Park High School is implementing a new policy for all home football games following an increase in “disruptive behavior.”

According to a public letter from Jimmy Victor, Allen Park High School athletic director, there has been an increase in littering, misuse of school property and unsupervised children on the school’s new practice field during games.

“This is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately to protect both student safety and school facilities,” Victor wrote.

The new “Show Up With Your Family” policy for home football games requires the following.

  • All student attendees must have their student ID to enter events
  • Students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by parents or guardians for the entirety of the event
  • Unsupervised children will not be permitted entry to the stadium
  • Any individuals found damaging property or violating school rules will be removed from the premises and may face further disciplinary or legal action

Victor also wrote that additional police and security personnel will be present at upcoming games.

“We are asking for the cooperation of all families to help us maintain a positive and secure environment. By ensuring that children are supervised and respectful of school property, we can preserve the safe and enjoyable atmosphere that makes Friday nights at Allen Park so special,” Victor wrote.

The Jaguars final home varsity game is Friday against Roosevelt while the junior varsity will host Edsel Ford Oct. 16 and Carlson on Oct. 23 to end the season.
