President Trump admitted he feels \u201cterrible\u201d about the shooting deaths of Alex Pretti<\/a> and Renee Good,<\/a> but said he\u2019s was more upset about Good because her parents are \u201ctremendous Trump people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump made the comment<\/a> Tuesday on Fox News\u2019 \u201cThe Will Cain Show\u201d while addressing the ongoing unrest in Minneapolis, where both Good and Pretti were fatally shot by federal agents this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cBottom line, it was terrible,\u201d he said when asked about Pretti\u2019s death.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBoth of them were terrible; the other was terrible too,\u201d Trump continued, referring to Good as well. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not sure about his parents, but I know her parents were big Trump fans, makes me feel bad anyway. But I guess you could say even worse, they were tremendous Trump people, Trump fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president went on to speculate that Good \u201cwas maybe radicalized, maybe not.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, but I hate to see it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Trump learned that Good\u2019s father, Timothy Ganger, was a \u201cbig supporter\u201d during an interview with CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil<\/a> on Jan. 13. The sit-down came nearly a week after 37-year-old Good, a mother and poet<\/a>, was fatally shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross<\/a> in a residential neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis.<\/p>\n\n

The incident has resulted in ongoing protests<\/a> over the federal government\u2019s deployment of ICE agents in the area, and demonstrations have only increased after Pretti was shot by federal agents on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old VA hospital nurse was killed as officers conducted a \u201ctargeted operation\u201d<\/a> against an \u201cillegal alien wanted for violent assault,\u201d according to the Department of Homeland Security. The White House alleged Pretti, who was licensed to carry a weapon, was armed at the time and brandished his firearm, but video evidence so far has contradicted that claim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump on Tuesday also confirmed he plans to \u201cdeescalate\u201d immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis, but clarified that the move was not a \u201cpullback.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a pullback,\u201d Trump said on Fox News. \u201cIt\u2019s a little bit of a change. We\u2019re going to deescalate a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
