We will share additional information about our Opening Ceremony coverage plans soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cToday\u201d co-anchor was preparing to fly to Italy on Monday when \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/02\/02\/media\/savannah-nancy-guthrie-missing-olympics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the worst phone call of her life<\/a>\u201d pivoted her in the opposite direction, an NBC producer who knows her told CNN. Family members, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2026\/02\/03\/savannah-guthrie-mom-missing-sister-blood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had seen their mother just the night before<\/a>, searched her home and found nothing, then called police, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nano recounted.<\/p>\n<p>After an all-night search using drones, a helicopter, an airplane, search-and-rescue dogs and volunteers, it was apparent Guthrie\u2019s home was a crime scene, Nano said. She had been taken against her will during the middle of the night while in bed asleep, authorities determined. A source familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press there were <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/savannah-guthrie-mother-missing-arizona-tucson-74d845b070fefe2d94cb92d655308e91\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signs of forced entry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Officials are asking the public to phone in with any tips and submit footage from doorbell cameras and anything else that could shed light on her disappearance.
